1, 1997 (Episode #66)
Danielle dropped
a bombshell on Kevin and Lucy and told them that she was actually Serena's
mother. After recovering from
their initial
shock, Lucy and Kevin realized that this might be a breakthrough for them.
Kevin and Lucy then let Danielle spin
her yarn and
she claimed that the egg had come from her, not from Dominique. Danielle
was in agony over telling this story, but privately
knew that Jake's life would be in danger if she did not follow through.
Kevin then asked Danielle to leave and not
return.
Later, Kevin and Lucy finally understood the connection between Rex and
Danielle and wondered how they would
break the
news to Scott. Bennett had Julie paged to the hospital before her
dinner date with him and Frank. Bennett told Julie
that he had
been asked to stay in Port Charles to conduct seminars at the hospital.
Julie became worried about her secret
being exposed,
but Bennett assured her that he would honor her decision to keep her real
identity secret. Eve confronted Chris about
how he had managed to get Bennett to come to Port Charles. Chris
allowed Eve to speculate, but admitted nothing and
said that
once he met the famous doctor, there would be no stopping him. Eve
reminded Chris that she knew that he had stolen the
interns personal files and blackmailed Chris into admitting that he had
called Bennett. Later, Chris watched Eve crumble
when she learned
that Bennett would be sticking around the hospital.
Tuesday, September
2, 1997 (Episode #67)
Explaining
how her dad will soon be conducting special seminars at eneral Hospital,
Julie tells Frank she's confident her father
won't reveal
her true identity to the rest of the staff. Matt complains to Ellen about
the trials and tribulations of working in the
O.R. with
egotistical surgeons like Mark Boardman. At the lighthouse, Lucy wonders
how to break some terrible news to
Scotty. Returning
home in an upbeat mood from his daughter's school orientation, Scotty thanks
Lucy for convincing him to
stay in Port
Charles. Meanwhile, Danielle demands that Rex tell her where Jake is now
that she's carried out his devious plan.
Julie admits
to Frank she's starting to feel guilty about lying to the other interns.
Rex hints to a dumbfounded Danielle that her
beloved boyfriend
was never in any real danger from the so-called "poison". Lucy finally
tells Scotty about Danielle's bizarre
claim that
she is really Serena's biological mother. Certain Dominique would never
have carried such a huge secret to her grave, Scotty
accuses a flustered Lucy of conspiring with Danielle to hurt him. Later,
after apologizing to his old friend for flying off the handle,
Scotty storms off to confront Rex. Matt tells a sympathetic Ellen that
he won't tolerate Boardman treating him like the
invisible
man.
Wednesday,
September 3, 1997 (Episode #68)
Karen and
Joe trade horror stories about Dr. Boardman and take solace in the fact
that they feel united again by their common
enemy. At
the lighthouse, Kevin becomes irate when Lucy defends Scotty's right to
yell at her. Meanwhile, Scotty asks Rex
why Danielle
seems to think she is Serena's biological mother. Kevin continues to berate
Lucy for allowing her old friend to pile verbal
abuse upon her. When he at last discloses how he's been struggling to deal
with the pain of her miscarriage, Kevin
reduces Lucy
to tears of anger and frustration as he describes the distance which has
grown between them as a deep and dense fog.
Jake tells Danielle he managed to straighten out his parents' immigration
problems and thereby has erased the threat Rex
had been holding
over their heads. Feigning shock at Scotty's news, Rex claims he had no
idea his niece was making such wild
statements
about Serena's parentage. Returning to the lighthouse, Scotty apologizes
to Lucy and expresses his sincere
appreciation
for how terrific she's been throughout their entire ordeal. Joe assures
Karen he understands the boundaries of their friendship
but reminds her she can always count on him in a crunch. Kevin and Lucy
begin to work through their grief together.
Thursday, September
4, 1997 (Episode #69)
Julie and
Frank realize that their crazy work schedules make it nearly impossible
for them to spend any time together despite
the fact that
they live under the same roof. Jake returns home and is annoyed to find
Danielle still in residence. Lucy tells Scotty
she can prove
that Danielle's claims about being Serena's biological mother are nothing
but a pack of lies. Julie grows antsy
when Frank
quizzes her about her dad. Danielle sheepishly admits to Jake how Rex tricked
her into carrying out more of his
evil bidding.
Lucy reminds Scotty how she received the egg directly from Dominique on
the day she became the Baldwins'
surrogate.
Jake warns Danielle that she's going to wind up in jail once the DNA tests
prove she could not be Serena's mother.
Karen drops
by the lighthouse and quickly senses that something is amiss with her jittery
father. After Scotty reveals how his
child is being
threatened anew by a stranger's fairy tale, an outraged Karen assumes that
the mystery woman has concocted her fantastic
story in hopes of blackmailing her way into a fortune. At the hospital,
Jake apologizes to Ellen for taking off on an
unscheduled
vacation, then is dismayed to learn he's been dropped from the surgical
rotation. Danielle decides to run away
while Rex
is out of town. Ellen encourages Jake to go to Boardman and fight for his
rightful place among his fellow interns.
Friday, September
5, 1997 (Episode #70)
An intrigued
Chris attempts to guess the reason for Eve's obvious interest in the visiting
Dr. Devlin. Unaware that Danielle is the
mystery woman
who has threatened Scotty's world with claims about being Serena's mother,
Karen advises her father to speak to
Jake about his work in gene research. Meanwhile, Lucy asks Tony to swear
that the egg he implanted into her was taken
directly from
Dominique. After Lucy explains how her late friend's longlost sister is
apparently making a play for Serena's vast
fortune, Tony
reminds her that the egg he removed from Dominique went through a separate
overnight process and was
therefore
out of his sight for several hours before the surrogate pregnancy was achieved.
Karen promises her nervous little
sister she'll
stay with her the whole time while she gets her necessary shots for school.
Though Lucy entreats him to fib to ensure Serena's
happiness, Tony refuses to lie about his part in the original procedure.
Anxious to get back into the surgical rotation,
Jake explains
to Dr. Boardman why he had to take off suddenly from work to help his aged
parents handle a serious legal
problem. To
Jake's surprise, the strict senior surgical resident decides to allow him
back onto the O.R. schedule. Chris loses no time
brown-nosing Bennett during their first introduction in the on-call room.
Joe threatens Boardman with violence after the
resident makes
several degrading statements about Karen.
Monday, September
8, 1997 (Episode #71)
Karen warns
Joe not to give Boardman any excuse to get back on his case. Frank confides
to Mary how something about
Julie's famous
father rubs him the wrong way. Lucy is alarmed to learn that the only person
who could prove without a doubt
that Serena
is Dominique's child is dead. When Scotty wonders how Dr. Bissell died,
Kevin explains that his friend suffered a
freakish fatal
canoeing accident. Eve quickly concocts a cover story when Julie finds
her arguing with Bennett. Afterwards, Julie and
Eve are both dismayed to learn that Bennett plans to make rounds with Dr.
Boardman and the interns the next day. Joe
apologizes
to the senior surgical resident, then thanks Karen for helping him cool
down. Later, Grace quietly warns Joe that
Boardman is
setting him up to take a humiliating fall in front of Bennett Devlin. Scotty
tells Kevin he's certain Rex killed Sheila
Bissell to
further his own evil cause. Julie is relieved and grateful when Mary enthusiastically
endorses her decision to try to
forge her
own career path without her father's influence to ease the way. Bennett
warns Eve not to push her luck too far.
Tuesday, September
9, 1997 (Episode #72)
Karen is startled
to hear Joe calling out her name after he falls asleep at the kitchen table
following a long night of cramming.
Julie reminds
Eve not to mention anything to the other interns when they go on rounds
that day with her father. Danielle slips
into the on-call
room early in the morning, hoping for one last chance to persuade Jake
to come away with her. As Serena
prepares to
leave for her first day of school, a package arrives from Karen with a
special backpack for the young doctor's kid
sister. After
briefly allowing Lucy to fuss with her hair and clothing, Serena says goodbye
to her dad but warns him not to get all mushy
just because she's going off to school. Later, Lee reminds a worried Scotty
that a security car will be following the
school bus
as an extra precaution. Jake suggests to Danielle that the only way to
remove her uncle from her life is to squeal on
Rex to someone
like Kevin. Julie tells Frank she's afraid her father has made it impossible
to keep her secret identity a secret.
Later, Julie
shifts uneasily but keeps mum when Joe and Karen trade jokes about the
dreaded Dr. Bennett Devlin and his
reputation
for eating unprepared interns alive. Handing back Jake's engagement ring,
Danielle sadly bids him farewell.
Wednesday,
September 10, 1997 (Episode #73)
Matt prepares
to make a big impression on Dr. Devlin during surgical rounds. In the on-call
room, Julie starts to make a full
confession
to her fellow interns but Bennett times his entrance to interrupt his daughter
just before she can reveal their family
ties. Audrey
regretfully brings Ellen a piece of bad news. Posing as Danielle's agent,
Scotty talks the landlady into letting him
inside Jake's
apartment to wait for his "client". Bennett warns the interns he's going
to put them through their paces and will cut
no one any
slack. After allowing the young doctors to briefly peruse the files of
the surgical patients on the ward, Bennett
quizzes each
one to determine how much information he or she has retained. As Ellen
nervously looks on, her interns perform
well until
both Joe and Karen stumble on some small details. When Julie's turn comes
at last, Bennett lobs her an easy question, then
steps in to protect her when Boardman bears down. Scotty furiously confronts
Danielle, who shakily clings to the pretense
of being Serena's
biological mother. When Danielle begs him to stop scaring her, the enraged
attorney promises to frighten her
ten times
worse when he gets her on the witness stand in court. Later, Jake returns
home to find Scotty threatening Danielle
with physical
harm if she dares to break his daughter's heart.
Thursday, September
11, 1997 (Episode #74)
Acting on
a hunch, Chris decides to snoop into a possible personal connection between
Eve and Bennett. Meanwhile, a
humiliated
Julie rails at her father for giving her preferential treatment in front
of the other interns. Though Jake orders him to
leave, Scotty
stands his ground and icily accuses the doctor of being part of the Stantons'
slimy conspiracy. Julie reminds her
dad how his
continuing presence in Port Charles has put her in an impossible situation
with her work at General Hospital.
Danielle leaps
to Jake's defense, swearing to Scotty that her boyfriend knew absolutely
nothing about Rex's plot until just a few
weeks ago.
Posing as a landlord checking up on a prospective tenant, Chris calls Eve's
former landlady and is intrigued to learn that
his now penniless colleague once shelled out big bucks on a regular basis
for a luxury apartment. Eve and Frank privately
trade notes
and agree that the condescending Dr. Devlin has been treating his daughter
like an imbecile. Danielle tells Scotty
she's planning
to leave town. Scornfully expressing doubts that the young woman would
simply give up on the cash cow she's
just discovered,
Scotty calls Danielle's bluff by asking her to sign a legal document surrendering
all her claims to Serena. Chris
gleefully
contemplates how best to use his new ammunition after uncovering proof
that Bennett was once Eve's sugar daddy.
After Danielle
signs the quit claim, Scotty reminds her and Jake he doesn't want to see
either one of them near his daughter ever again.
Friday, September
12, 1997 (Episode #75)
Warning that
Cooper's parents are meeting with Lee the next day, Matt encourages Ellen
to look through the inventory from
Greg's last
hospital stay in case some new evidence emerges. Scotty trails Danielle
to the airport to make sure she boards the
flight to
New York City as promised. Before leaving town, Danielle tries once again
to convince Scotty she didn't mean Serena
any harm.
At the hospital, Jake apologizes to Lucy and Kevin for his girlfriend's
lies and explains how Scotty forced Danielle to
sign the quit
claim. Karen decides to come clean with Joe about her trip to San Francisco
but her exhausted friend falls asleep
without hearing
a single word of her confession. Matt has a brainstorm and manages to unearth
a syringe hidden in a slit in
Greg's mattress.
Admitting that Danielle signed the quit claim under severe duress, Scotty
cautions Lucy not to count on the
document holding
up in court. Karen reaches out to comfort Joe after he awakens from a dream
screaming her name. Excited
to think that
her nightmare is almost over, Ellen thanks Matt and Kevin for their help
and their friendship during her legal crisis.
Monday, September
15, 1997 (Episode #76)
Joe and Karen
begin to surrender to their longstanding passion. When Rex phones and attempts
to intimidate him, a seething
Jake threatens
to break the older man's neck if he ever comes near him again. As Matt
and Ellen read over Kevin's
psychological
profile of Greg, Scott arrives with good news from the lab. Meanwhile,
Greg regains consciousness but pretends
to be still
unresponsive. Lonely for Danielle, Jake daydreams about a romantic reunion.
Scotty cautions Ellen that they still need solid
proof that Cooper injected himself with the insulin. Rex icily reminds
Jake that he and he alone calls all the shots. When a
phone call
from GH interrupts, Karen pulls away from Joe but not without some regrets.
Victor is moved to the Forest Hills
sanitarium.
Rex hints to Jake that Danielle's life will hang in the balance unless
he cooperates fully. After describing the
nightmare
he had, Joe tells Karen he can't keep going back and forth in the weird
love triangle they've created with her
absentee husband.
Later, Karen explains to a disappointed Joe why she can't be with another
man as long as she remains a
married woman.
Tuesday, September
16, 1997 (Episode #77)
Bennett lets
it slip to Joe that Julie is his daughter. Meanwhile, Julie drops by Karen's
place late at night and shakily reveals her
filial connection
to the dreaded Dr. Devlin. Eve rails at Chris after discovering that he's
been snooping into her past. Irked by
Joe's derogatory
remarks about their tenant, Frank defends Julie's decision to keep mum
about her famous father. After
reassuring
a relieved Julie she understands why she held on to her secret as long
as possible, Karen confides how she's been
having some
family problems of her own in recent days. Disclosing that her husband
has apparently been cheating on her for
several years,
Karen admits she can't stop thinking about Joe and how good it would feel
to kiss him. Lucy tells Kevin how
much she fears
that a terrible disaster is looming just ahead. Trying to cheer up his
live-in lover, Kevin suggests that they head
to Manhattan
for a few days of fun and frivolity right after Sonny and Brenda tie the
knot. Karen writes a long letter to Jagger in which
she asks her husband to tell her the truth about the nature of his relationship
with Fran. Frank commiserates with his
brother after
a miserable Joe reveals what almost happened between him and Karen.
Wednesday,
September 17, 1997 (Episode #78)
During a breakfast
meeting, Chris expresses to Bennett his concern about Julie and volunteers
to help his friend cope with all
the additional
stress in her life. At the Forest Hills sanitarium, Victor surveys his
new surroundings while his son apologizes for
not being
able to get him into the better section away from the criminal element.
Lee introduces Scott, Ellen and Matt to Miles
and explains
to his opposing counsel that new evidence has emerged in the Cooper family's
case against Dr. Burgess.
Meanwhile,
Greg continues to successfully fake a vegetative state in order to fool
his doctors and the attending nurses. When
Bennett shows
no interest in aiding his cause with Julie, Chris hints that he's recently
uncovered some fascinating information
about Eve's
colorful past. Scotty plays legal hardball with Miles, who finally begins
to back down with murmurs about advising
his clients
to settle out of court. Greg swipes a packet of matches from an unsuspecting
nurse when she comes in to change her
"comatose"
patient's sheets. In the wake of their latest victory, Matt encourages
Ellen to relax a little and start enjoying her
journey through
life. Bennett pressures Eve into agreeing to meet him for dinner.
Thursday, September
18, 1997 (Episode #79)
At the hospital,
Scotty shows Serena the plaque honoring her mother's gift of a pediatric
AIDS wing. Posing as his father, Greg
phones the
local Catholic church and asks for a confidential favor for a certain patient
at Forest Hills. Hoping to put his
daughter's
fears about the hospital to rest, Scotty explains to Serena how much Dominique
loved working with sick children
even when
she herself wasn't feeling very well. Unaware that her roommate's hot date
is with Bennett, Julie teases Eve about
her obvious
plans for a big evening out on the town. Greg convinces a priest to come
hear his confession before he's transferred back
into police custody. Matt coaxes Ellen into loosening up enough to join
him for dinner. Bennett warns Julie how he
accidentally
let it slip to Joe that they are father and daughter. Later, Frank tells
Julie that her father's so-called slip of the tongue was
no accident at all. Chris' perpetual brown-nosing earns him an increased
workload from Dr. Boardman and ruins his hopes for
a night off. Though Frank urges his friend not to let Bennett manipulate
her so badly, Julie insists that her father has only her
best interests
at heart.
Friday, September
19, 1997 (Episode #80)
Bennett brings
Eve a bouquet as a peace offering before they set off on their big date.
Listening to Grace and another gossipy
nurse speculating
about Joe's love life, Karen thinks back to their shared moment of passion
and goes out of her way to avoid
the man of
her dreams. At the Forest Hills sanitarium, Greg attacks the priest who's
come to hear his confession. Eve warns
Bennett that
what they once had together is going to remain a thing of the past. Boardman
orders an uneasy Joe and Karen to
work together
on late night post-op duty. Later, caught off guard by a rare compliment
from the stern surgical resident, Karen
and Joe start
to break the ice once again. Kevin continues to pressure the Forest Hills
staff to move his father into a better
room. After
killing the young priest, Greg steals his clothes and prepares to make
his escape garbed as the late padre. As he
wines and
dines Eve, Bennett softly apologizes for the errors he made months ago
and offers to help the doctor move into a
prestigious
internship program in Boston. Certain he's just trying to hustle her out
of town before Julie stumbles upon evidence
of their liaison,
Eve furiously informs Bennett she has no intention of leaving Port Charles.
Joe and Karen are stunned to learn
that one of
their favorite patients suffered a fatal setback just when it appeared
that she was going to make a full recovery.
Monday, September
22, 1997 (Episode #81)
Karen and
Joe commiserate with one another after their long night on post-operative
detail. Eve tosses a glass of champagne at Bennett,
who stalks off and leaves his fuming date to pick up the tab for their
aborted but expensive evening. Unable to pay the
bill, Eve
places a panicked call for help to Scott. Kevin drops by Forest Hills late
at night to check on his father after having an
intuitive
feeling that something is amiss. Meanwhile, Greg switches clothes with
his latest victim and tucks the unfortunate priest
into the bed
he himself just vacated. Joe teases Karen back into a good mood following
another dressing down from Dr.
Boardman.
Watching the old friends banter, Grace feels her hackles rise but she struggles
to hide her jealousy from Joe. After
turning the
oxygen tank on full blast, Greg takes a nurse captive and tosses a match
back into the room as he departs. Karen
receives an
answer to the E-mail she sent Jagger. Eve thanks Scotty for helping her
out of a jam at the restaurant.
Tuesday, September
23, 1997 (Episode #82)
After saving
Eve from the humiliation of being forced to wash dishes to pay off her
tab at the restaurant, Scotty teasingly
cautions the
intern not to expect him to rescue her every time one of her dates decides
to stiff her. Joe tells Frank he fears that
Jagger's reply
to Karen will send her into another depressing tailspin. Meanwhile, Karen
reads her husband's letter and is
devastated
when he admits to having the affair with Fran and suggests that a divorce
may be the kindest way to end their own
relationship.
Lucy arrives at Forest Hills and is horrified to find the hospital ablaze.
As they ride home with Scotty, Eve shows
Serena a way
to combat her motion sickness, then is taken aback when the child suggests
that her medical training will come in
handy after
she has kids of her own. Grace advises Joe not to get any more deeply involved
with the married woman he so
obviously
desires. Worried about her fiance's past traumatic experiences with fire,
Lucy concentrates on sending psychic
messages to
Kevin in hopes that he will somehow hear her and fight his way out of the
blaze. Slowly regaining consciousness as Lucy's
voice seems to call to him, Kevin frantically searches through the thick
smoke until he locates his father. Karen reassures an
anxious Julie about Frank's uncanny ability to survive every crisis. After
helping Victor to safety, Kevin and Frank return to
the wards
to check for other victims. Still posing as a priest, a smirking Greg offers
to give any fire fatalities the last rites. Joe
and Julie
are alarmed to see Frank enter GH's emergency room on a stretcher.
Wednesday,
September 24, 1997 (Episode #83)
Scotty offers
Eve a sympathetic ear after she admits that her evening with an old boyfriend
was a total disaster. As the victims
of the Forest
Hills fire continue to arrive in the ER, Joe tries to reassure his mother
that Frank will pull through. After Ellen
orders Joe
off his brother's case, Karen pulls her protesting friend out into the
waiting room. Meanwhile, Lucy hovers anxiously over
Kevin, who stubbornly insists his injuries are too minor to even require
emergency treatment. Mary thanks Mike for
standing by
her in her hour of need despite the rotten day he's already had. Kevin
tells Julie how Frank refused to give up
searching
for victims even though he had already inhaled far too much smoke for his
own good. As Victor is admitted for
observation,
Ellen urges Kevin to submit to an examination for his probable concussion.
Later, Kevin confides to Lucy how her vision
came to him just when he was certain his life was over. Karen attempts
to console Joe, who feels angry and frustrated
that with
all his medical training he can't do a single thing to help his beloved
brother. Declaring that his brush with death has
given him
a new perspective on life, Kevin again asks Lucy to marry him. Frank regains
consciousness and asks for Julie. Lucy
shouts for
help after Kevin suddenly collapses. While sitting with Frank, Julie is
horrified to see his cardiac monitor begin to
show signs
of severe distress.
Thursday, September
25, 1997 (Episode #84)
As Eve hurries
to examine Kevin, a frantic Lucy explains to Ellen how her fiance just
passed out right in front of her eyes.
Praying for
her son's recovery, Mary admits to Mike how frightened she is of losing
Frank the way she lost his father.
Meanwhile,
Bennett compliments Joe on a job well done after the intern correctly diagnoses
his brother with carbon monoxide
poisoning.
Scotty keeps Lucy company in the waiting room and attempts to keep her
hope from flagging. While Ellen orders a
battery of
neurological tests for Kevin, a sympathetic Eve gives Lucy her beeper and
promises to page her the minute they have the
results of the lab work. Later, Scotty overhears Chris taunting Eve about
her intimate relationship with the mighty Dr.
Devlin. Frank
thanks Joe for helping him pull through. Bennett quietly cautions his daughter
not to become too emotional about
any of her
patients, even the ones with whom she enjoys a personal relationship. Jake
continues to brood over Danielle's
departure
and the ever present threat from the ubiquitous Rex. Scotty bristles when
Bennett comes down hard on Karen for a
minor infraction.
Ellen informs Lucy that Kevin may need immediate surgery.
Friday, September
26, 1997 (Episode #85)
Lonely for
Jake, Danielle thinks back to the day they first met. Rex calls the hospital
to check on Kevin's status and is pleased
to learn that
the doctor is in serious condition. Meanwhile, Ellen informs a distraught
Lucy that her fiance has a subdural
hematoma which
will require immediate surgery. A bristling Scotty takes exception to Bennett's
remarks after overhearing the
surgeon demean
and belittle Karen. Jake tracks Danielle down and tells the frightened
actress he believes he's stumbled upon a
way to get
Rex off their backs once and for all. Though Eve enjoys watching Scotty
lash into Bennett, Lucy fears that her
friend's outburst
will endanger her chances at persuading Dr. Devlin to perform the necessary
neurosurgery on Kevin. Jake
explains to
Danielle how tired he is of allowing Rex to ruin both their lives. When
he demands to know how her uncle forced
her under
his thumb in the first place, Danielle warns Jake that he may not believe
her tale. Chris tries to weasel his way into
assisting
Bennett but Ellen assigns Karen to the O.R. instead. Despite reassurances
from Bennett, Lucy begins to get a queasy
feeling about
Kevin's upcoming surgery.
Monday, September
29, 1997 (Episode #86)
Karen was
furious when she caught Chris reading the letter Jagger had sent her.
Karen, however, covered when Ellen and
Bennett entered.
Cooper sneaked into Kevin's room and tampered with his IV, which greatly
increased the medical risks to
Kevin.
In the process, Cooper also set Karen up to take a major fall. Later,
Joe discovered Kevin's condition and Karen
admitted that
she had set Kevin's IV. Karen was sure that she had done everything
properly, but an irate Bennett banned
Karen from
his operating room. Chris then volunteered to take Karen's place
in assisting Bennett in surgery. Bennett observed Eve
treat a patient. Later, Bennett apologized to Eve for leaving her
at the restaurant and Bennett told Eve that it was difficult
for him to
be near her. Meanwhile, Scott figured out that Bennett had been Eve's
mystery date. Rex broke into the lighthouse
and secretly
laced Scott's personal envelopes with drugs.
Tuesday, September
30, 1997 (Episode #87)
Scott supported
Lucy as she waited for word on Kevin's fate. Karen approached them and
expressed her concern for Kevin,
but Lucy berated
Karen for jeopardizing Kevin's condition in the first place. Karen
defended herself and reiterated her claim
that she wasn't
responsible for the error made in Kevin's treatment. Later, Lucy
was overwhelmed with relief when she learned that
Kevin was going to be all right. Karen confronted Chris about reading her
letter from Jagger, but Chris dismissed her.
Later, Karen
told Joe that Jagger was willing to give her a divorce. Meanwhile,
Chris told Ellen about Karen's personal
problems on
the night Kevin almost died knowing that it would make Karen's already
difficult position far worse. Jake and
Danielle arrived
back in Port Charles and Jake told Danielle that he needed her help in
bringing Rex down. Jake and Danielle
were then
surprised to find Rex waiting for them at their apartment. Jake then
put his plan to defeat Rex into motion by
convincing
Rex that he was ready to join forces with him. Privately, Jake told
Danielle that he was not going to help Rex and
Jake also
said that they had to get Lucy, Scott and Kevin on their side. Later,
Lucy and Scott were surprised to see Danielle at the
hospital.
