PORT CHARLES EPISODE SUMMARIES: OCTOBER 1997

Wednesday, October 1, 1997 (Episode #88)
Finding Danielle back at the hospital, Lucy and Scott confront her. Before Jake can explain, Lucy lays into the woman for
breaking her promise to stay out of Port Charles. She goes on and on about the lies and schemes that she is responsible for, not allowing Danielle to utter a complete sentence in defense. Jake sees the writing on the wall and suggests that they talk with Scott at a later time. Chris takes Ellen aside and warns her that Karen's mistake with Kevin earlier might have been due to
stress from her failed marriage. He admits that he picked up an overnight delivery letter informing Karen that her husband wants a divorce. He then badmouths her personal life further before leaving to see a patient. Ellen quickly finds Karen and announces
that her mistake with Dr. Collins is going to be placed under review. She's also taken off the surgical rotation which effectively
means that she's under suspension. When Chris arrives and hears the news, Joe demands to know what Chris told Dr.Burgess.
Chris refuses so Joe quickly punches him and sends him flying to the ground.

Thursday, October 2, 1997 (Episode #89)
Julie and Eve discuss the newspaper article which named Frank a hero for his actions during the fire. Julie is disappointed when
her father boasts that Alan has asked him to increase the frequency of his seminars so he'll be staying in town longer. As Eve
listens, Julie defends her relationship with Frank the hero and Bennett claims to like the guy. But after Julie leaves, Eve accuses
the doctor of lying to his daughter about his true feelings for Frank. She also insists that he was behind the article on Frank. Eve then offers to keep silent about their past relationship but only if he agrees to leave town and leave Julie and Frank's relationship alone. Karen reports to Scott that Dr. Devlin took her off surgical rotation because of what happened to Kevin's I.V. Scott
lectures her about how to deal with her bosses, warning her that doctors' egos always get in the way. He then offers her help if
she wants to have anyone's ego knocked down a notch or two. While they talk, Rex waits for Scott to suffer the effects from
the drug-laced envelopes and imagines Scott handing over the entire fortune along with Serena. Joe is quick to defend Karen
when Grace innocently suggests that everyone makes a mistake once in a while.

Friday, October 3, 1997 (Episode #90)
Frank boasts to Julie that he's received a job offer from a small Chicago-area college to be athletic director. As Bennett listens
from afar, Julie congratulates him on the chance to do what he wants to do and urges him to accept the offer though she'd
rather have him stay. After Bennett leaves, Frank wonders how the college found out about him. Though he admits that he
loves sports, Frank reveals that he's decided to remain in town where he wants to be. Hoping to cheer up Kevin, Lucy pleads
with her designer Tina to give Kevin's room a special one-hour makeover, complete with catered candle- lit dinner. But Lucy's
plans for romance, given the okay by Bennett, are stymied when she finds herself stuck in the bathtub. Eve approaches Scott
about keeping secret the fact that she had dinner with Devlin. After he agrees, Scott asks her to mail a letter for her and
unknowingly licks the drug-stained envelope before sealing it. A little while later, Scott begins to suffer from hallucinations. Rex
meets with his attorney and asks him to put into motion a lawsuit that would give him custody of Serena. He spins a tale about
Scott and how unqualified he is to be a father and reveals that Serena has a trust fund worth more than a hundred million
dollars. Claiming to have witnesses ready to testify against Scott, Rex then boasts that he has proof that Serena's father is a
drug abuser. Hearing about the offer, Eve suggests to Frank that Bennett secretly arranged the job to get him away from Julie.

Monday, October 6, 1997 (Episode #91)
Karen asks Joe if he thinks she should risk going up against Bennett when it could very well mean the abrupt end of her
internship at General Hospital. Unable to remove her toe from the tub spigot, an embarrassed Lucy is forced to holler for help.
Jake tells Rex he wants forty thousand dollars to set up his new lab. Suffering from hallucinations, Scotty stumbles around the
room in a futile attempt to regain control of his physical and mental abilities. A giggling Audrey comes to Lucy's rescue after
Kevin laughingly explains how his fiancee's attempt to surprise him went awry. Karen decides to take a stand and fight for her
rights if Bennett tries to derail her medical career. Explaining to a frightened Eve how he believes he's been drugged, Scotty
asks the intern to go pick up Serena at the school. Later, Eve phones Lucy and urges her to rush over to the lighthouse
immediately to see to Scotty. Audrey applauds Karen's decision after Joe discloses that his friend is determined to prove she
did nothing wrong. Rhonda drops by the lighthouse to speak to Scotty and is alarmed to find her old friend staggering around,
gasping for breath. After forcing Rhonda to promise that she won't tell anyone about his problem, Scotty begins to lose
consciousness.

Tuesday, October 7, 1997 (Episode #92)
Karen unloads her bitterness about Jagger's betrayal after Julie offers to lend her friend a sympathetic ear. Suffering from
drug-induced hallucinations, Scotty mistakes Lucy for his beloved Dominique. Frantically attempting to remind Scotty that his
wife has been dead for several years, Lucy yells at Rhonda to phone for the paramedics. As Rhonda explains how their mutual
friend refused to accept medical help for his puzzling condition, Eve arrives and ministers to Scotty. Matt explains to the chief
surgical resident how his disability will prove to be no handicap in the O.R. with the help of some inexpensive innovations now
on the market. Later, Ellen leaps to Matt's defense when her skeptical colleague expresses the opinion that the paraplegic intern caught a lucky break in medical school. When Frank balks at accepting a lucrative job offer out of state, Joe guesses that his
brother's reluctance to relocate stems from his budding romance with Julie. Scotty begins to become coherent once again and
stubbornly insists that Eve, Lucy and Rhonda all promise to keep mum about his bizarre health problems. Bennett is revealed to be the secret source of Colson College's sudden interest in recruiting Frank. Watching Scotty and his pals through binoculars,
Rex chortles to see that his latest plan is working like a dream.

Wednesday, October 8, 1997 (Episode #93)
Eve becomes irate to discover that Bennett has been tinkering with her patients' files. Julie encourages Frank to go ahead and
interview for the athletic director's post at Colson College. Chris continues to actively brownnose his way into Bennett's good
graces and is intrigued to learn that his major rival for Julie's affections may soon be on his way to a job in Chicago. Frank tells
Joe he's perfectly happy with his life in Port Charles and really doesn't care about any offer from Colson's recruiter. Matt hopes that his appeal to the chief surgical resident didn't fall on deaf ears. Karen gets stuck doing scut work for Boardman as penance for her mistake during rounds. Although Bob Dorsey dangles the promise of a huge pay raise accompanied by a free sports car if he accepts the AD position at the college, Frank informs the recruiter he needs more time to consider Colson's offer.
Listening to Karen's complaints about their fellow intern, Julie wonders if Chris really could be so devious and manipulative.
Meanwhile, Bennett warns Chris to tread lightly where Julie is concerned. Mike gives Matt some advice about dealing with a
hardnose like Dr. Boardman. As Bob privately reports success to Bennett, Eve decides to take matters into her own hands and give Frank a necessary news flash.

Thursday, October 9, 1997 (Episode #94)
Scotty assures a worried Lucy that he doesn't seem to be suffering any after effects now that the hallucinations have ceased.
Confronted by Karen and Julie, Chris admits reading the letter and explains why he felt compelled to take the document to Dr.
Burgess. Eve warns Frank that his "too good to be true" job offer has some nasty strings tied to it. As Serena returns to the
lighthouse, Scotty tells Gail he's simply been suffering from a mild case of the flu. After swearing Frank to secrecy, Eve reveals
how Bennett Devlin arranged for his daughter's unsuitable new beau to suddenly attract the attention of the headhunter from
Colson College. Karen orders Chris to either stop spreading lies about her or prepare to face a lawsuit for slander. Later, Joe
speculates that Chris may have opened Kevin's IV line himself to portray Karen as incompetent. Frank thanks Eve for opening
his eyes to the truth about Julie's father, then vows that he will never allow Bennett to get away with his underhanded plot.

Friday, October 10, 1997 (Episode #95)
Lucy pleads with Scotty to undergo a complete physical exam to determine what caused his hallucinations. When he refuses to
see a doctor, Lucy suggests that they go step by step through that fateful day to try and figure out what might have made him ill. Victor comes to his son's hospital room to check on Kevin's condition. After Kevin assures his dad he's recovering nicely,
Victor tearfully thanks him for the lifesaving rescue and expresses pride in his son for the first time in years. Ellen has to break
up a shoving match between Chris and Joe. Julie admits to Mary how she secretly wishes Frank would turn down the job offer
from Colson College. Meanwhile, Bennett explains to a skeptical Frank that he was simply doing him a favor by pulling some
strings in Chicago. Ellen warns Joe and Chris to work harder at maintaining a professional image while they're in the halls of the
hospital. Scoffing at Bennett's claims that his actions were motivated strictly by love for his daughter, Frank icily informs the
surgeon that he doesn't blame Julie for trying to hide the truth about her family ties. Rattled by his recent experience, Scotty tells a thrilled Lucy he'd like her and Kevin to become Serena's legal guardians just in case anything happens to him before his little
girl grows to adulthood. Later, frightened when Scotty begins suffering acid flashbacks, Lucy coaxes her friend into the car and
drives to the hospital.

Monday, October 13, 1997 (Episode #96)
Kevin tells Karen and Joe that he vaguely recalls someone in black tampering with his I.V. just before he passed out. Meanwhile, Chris complains to Matt that Karen has falsely accused him of opening Kevin's I.V. line. Far from being
sympathetic with his colleague's plight, Matt remarks that the ploy sounds just like the kind of stunt his over-ambitious fellow
intern would pull. Frank tells a baffled Julie that he's decided to turn down the job offer from Colson College. As Lucy tries to
sneak her dazed pal into the hospital via the back stairs, Bennett happens by and instantly diagnoses Scotty as being under the
influence of drugs. Talking fast in an attempt to avoid an ugly scene, Lucy hurries Scotty away from Bennett but not before he is able to shout a slurred threat against the retreating doctor. Keeping mum about his real reason for rejecting the offer, Frank
assures Julie that he doesn't want to leave Port Charles because he couldn't bear not seeing her every day. Matt reminds a
steamed Chris everyone at the hospital knows that he would kill his own mother to win the highly coveted Quartermaine
residency. Kevin advises Karen to take the high road until she obtains concrete proof that her enemy tried to discredit her.
Determined to hide his problem from the prying eyes at the hospital, Scott slips away from Lucy and heads to his car. Rex calls
the cops. Frank deliberately lets it slip to Julie how her father recommended him for the coaching position in Chicago.

Tuesday, October 14, 1997 (Episode #97)
Confronted by his suspicious daughter, Bennett claims he was only trying to give Frank's career a boost by recommending him
to the director of Colson College's athletic program. As Chris sputters denials, his fellow interns accuse him of stealing the files
Greg Cooper was keeping on all of them. Jake and Danielle are irked to find Rex waiting for them as they return home. A
frantic Lucy calls Gail but learns that Scotty never turned up at his father's house. Meanwhile, a police officer pulls Scotty over
after observing his vehicle weaving from side to side across the road. After flunking a field sobriety test, Scotty refuses to take
the breathalyzer and is placed under arrest. Lucy explains to Eve and Kevin how Scott suffered another round of hallucinations
and made a death threat against Dr. Devlin. Rex gives Jake the first cash payment, then instructs the doctor to draw blood from Danielle. Though Bennett insists he wasn't meddling in her personal affairs, an infuriated Julie berates her father for trying to
exert control over her entire life. Chris tells Ellen he has no idea how Greg's files got into his locker. Later, Chris accuses Karen of planting the files on him to make him look guilty. Bennett reminds Julie that her brother's tragic death has made him a bit
overprotective when it comes to his surviving child. Rex plots to use Scotty's drunk driving arrest in his quest to wrench Serena
away from her father.

Wednesday, October 15, 1997 (Episode #98)
Lucy and Eve head to the police station together following the phone call from Scotty. As Rex eavesdrops electronically on his
reluctant partners in crime, Jake tells Danielle things will be easier between them once she finds a place of her own and moves
out of his apartment. After Lucy pays his bail, Scotty tries to weasel out of his promise to undergo a complete physical
examination. Chris continues to take grief from his angry fellow interns about the incriminating files which fell out of his locker.
Boardman informs a bristling Ellen that the hospital board balked at incurring any extra expense for the special equipment which would allow Matt to perform surgeries. Eve convinces Scotty to return to GH by offering to run all the necessary tests herself.
Later, Scott reminds the doctor to keep the results of his blood work strictly confidential. Meanwhile, Rex steps up his
campaign to prove that Danielle is Serena's biological mother. Karen accidentally lets it slip to a seething Lucy how she
suspects that Chris tampered with Kevin's IV drip. Eve asks Jake for help determining what kind of toxic substance made its
way into Scotty's bloodstream. Lucy turns her wrath on Chris and promises to make the intern's existence a living hell if he ever dares to harm another hair on Kevin's head.

Thursday, October 16, 1997 (Episode #99)
Eve asks Jake to put a rush on the lab work but reminds him to keep the results strictly confidential. Mike teases Frank about
his rocky relationship with the man who might well become his father-in-law one day. Later, Bennett surprises Frank by
announcing his decision to leave Port Charles. Ellen regretfully shows Matt the board's decision which bars him from working in the O.R. because of his physical disability. Determined not to let Boardman stand in his way, Matt assures Ellen he will become a surgeon come hell or high water. Greg alters his appearance once again as he plots new trouble for the interns at General
Hospital. Rex chortles with glee to realize that Scotty has just unwittingly placed his fate into the hands of his enemies. Bennett
offers to treat Frank and Julie to one last lunch before he departs. Though rattled to learn from an irate Scotty that Jake is
undoubtedly working with Rex, Eve reassures her patient that his name doesn't appear anywhere on the vial of blood which she handed over for testing. Matt confronts Boardman, accusing the chief surgical resident of sandbagging him in front of the
hospital board. Greg targets one of Joe's patients by changing a notation on her chart. Afterwards, he arranges for Joe to
"catch" a baffled Chris in the act of tampering with the patient's medication dosage.

Friday, October 17, 1997 (Episode #100)
Eve tells Scotty that his toxicology screen came back positive for drugs. Meanwhile, a gleeful Rex reminds Jake to finish the
second round of tests on Scotty's blood sample so that they can nail Serena's father to the wall when their day in court finally
arrives. Joe furiously accuses Chris of changing the notation on his patient's chart in a deliberate attempt to sabotage his career.
Matt explains to Ellen why he couldn't allow Boardman to get away with his narrow-minded attitude towards the disabled.
Greg eavesdrops on the other interns as they gang up on Chris, who frantically insists he's innocent of the tampering charge.
Later, Bennett summons the young doctors to the on-call room, where he delivers a farewell address on the importance of the
work they have all chosen to do. Certain he was set up, an enraged Scotty confronts Jake and vows to send him and Danielle
to a federal penitentiary until they're both old and grey. At the lighthouse, Gail helps Serena design the invitations for her
Halloween bash. Chris realizes that he and his fellow doctors are being framed. Boardman reassigns a disgusted Matt to clerical duties. Julie is stunned to catch sight of her father planting a lingering goodbye kiss on Eve. Hunting for envelopes in which to
mail out her party invitations, Serena borrows a handful from her father's briefcase, unaware of the danger involved in such a
seemingly harmless act.

Monday, October 20, 1997 (Episode #101)
Unbeknownst to Bennett and Eve, Julie had witnessed their kiss and had run off. Eve was furious at Bennett for assuming that
she would fall for his charms again and Eve then spelled out her loathing of him. Later, Eve ran in to Julie, who told Eve that she had seen the kiss between her and Bennett and concluded that Eve had been having an affair with him. Eve then went to warn
Bennett about what Julie had seen.  Kevin and Lucy returned home and planned for an amorous evening together. In the
process, Lucy and Kevin unknowingly prevented Serena from licking the tainted envelope. After a series of interruptions at the
lighthouse, Lucy and Kevin went to the Port Charles Hotel in an effort to be alone. Lucy told Kevin about her wish to try to
have a child again, but also voiced her fear that something would go wrong.  Scott almost convinced Jake to confess about
Rex's evil plot.  Rex, however, had been listening to their conversation via his planted bug and Rex called Jake and warned him
to keep his mouth shut. After Scott left, Jake angrily confronted Rex about placing a listening device in his apartment. Rex
ignored Jake and said that he would do whatever was needed to ensure the success of his plan.

Tuesday, October 21, 1997 (Episode #102)
Julie confronted Bennett and Eve after witnessing their kiss and the truth about their affair finally came out. After Eve left,
however, Bennett tried to convince Julie that Eve was the most to blame for their liaison. Bennett claimed that he and Julie's
mother, Nicole, had drifted apart after Buddy's suicide and that Eve had been there for him. Julie refused to forgive Bennett and angrily left. Meanwhile, Eve told Scott that Julie had seen a kiss between her and Bennett. Eve and Scott talked about past
mistakes and Eve then learned that Jake had the results of Scott's blood test. Eve told Scott that traces of drugs had been
found in his blood and Scott was convinced that Rex had set him up. Later, Eve and Julie were forced to work together in the
emergency room and Julie could barely contain her anger towards Eve. Scott confronted Bennett on Eve's behalf and Scott
ended up punching Bennett in the jaw. Karen and Joe learned about Matt's run in with Boardman and decided that the interns
should band together to support Matt's cause. Matt's pleasure at the group's solidarity was short-lived, however, when
Boardman later refused to allow him to treat an emergency room patient who needed surgery.

Wednesday, October 22, 1997 (Episode #103)
An angry Julie refused to continue sharing an apartment with Eve and said that she was moving out. Eve told Julie that she
couldn't afford the rent on her own and said that she would be the one to move. Later, Eve asked Karen if she could stay with
her and Karen agreed. After learning the true nature of Eve and Julie's argument, however, Karen told Eve that she had no
sympathy for women who slept with married men and Karen refused to let Eve stay with her. A miserable Eve then found
herself homeless and was unaware that Cooper was plotting to make her his next victim. At the Recovery Room, Chris
pretended to be supportive of Matt's plight in front of the interns. Matt arrived and confronted Chris about his speaking to
Boardman about the liability issues associated with Matt performing surgery. After Matt left, Chris made an effective case for
his position to Joe and asked Joe if he would want his own mother to be operated on by Matt. Lucy scheduled some fertility
tests for herself and feared that she would never be able to have a child with Kevin. Scott arrived and announced that he and
Serena were moving into a place of their own and an already vulnerable Lucy was hit hard by the news.

Thursday, October 23, 1997 (Episode #104)
Scott surprised Serena when he showed her the firehouse which was going to be their new home. Scott and Serena decided to
camp out in the firehouse for the night and asked Karen to join them. Rex was pleased when Jake told him that the DNA tests
revealed that Danielle and Dominique were sisters. Therefore, it was possible that Danielle could be Serena's mother. Ellen told Alan Quartermaine that she wanted to challenge Boardman's decision about Matt not being allowed to practice surgery. Matt
appreciated Ellen's efforts, but told her that he wanted to represent himself at the upcoming informal hearing. Julie had an
emotional breakdown over what Bennett had done and Karen comforted her. Eve got the cold shoulder from both Karen and
Julie and Eve realized that she couldn't live in the on-call room forever. Eve then took Chris up on his offer to spend the night at his place. Cooper set up Eve by making some adjustments to one of her patient's medicine orders. Later, Julie checked on
Eve's patient and came face to face with Cooper.

Friday, October 24, 1997 (Episode #105)
Cooper told a shocked Julie that she had made a mistake in checking up on Eve's patient and explained that Julie had walked in on a trap he had laid for Eve. Cooper then rendered Julie unconscious and narrowly missed being caught by a security guard
and Audrey as took Julie out of the hospital under a sheet on a gurney. Later, Julie woke up and found herself in the basement
of the Cooper family home. Matt stayed up all night in order to prepare for his meeting with Alan Quartermaine and worried
that this might be his last shot at becoming a surgeon. Eve appreciated Chris' hospitality, but wasn't keen on the idea of having
to cook for him. Despite Chris' obnoxious and flirtatious behavior, Eve managed to have some fun. Lucy and Kevin visited
Scott and Serena's new home. Lucy knew that she would miss having Serena living at the lighthouse, but realized that Serena
would always be a part of her life. The next day, Scott was shocked when FBI agents showed up at his door and arrested him
for engineering Serena's kidnapping.

Monday, October 27, 1997 (Episode #106)
Scott refused to cooperate with the FBI and was shocked by their accusations against him.  Scott was outraged at Conklin for
having betrayed him, and Conklin was likewise offended. Lucy interrupted and assured Scott that Serena was all right and told
him that Serena was with Kevin. Conklin then returned with fabricated evidence against Scott, although Conklin believed the
facts to be true. Conklin then accused Scott of using the ransom money to pay off his gambling debts and of having planned
Serena's kidnapping. Meanwhile, Danielle was furious at Rex for bugging Jake's apartment. Rex dismissed Danielle's anger and
regaled her with his hypothetical story of the gambling induced downfall of Scott. Greg toyed with and threatened Julie, who
realized that Greg had been the saboteur at the hospital.  Greg explained to Julie that none of the other interns had deserved the title of physician. Julie warned Greg that the others would soon be looking her, but Greg had a plan to fix that problem. Matt
accepted the support of the other interns before facing the hospital board. Matt told Karen the story of how he had been
forced to accept the truth after the accident which left him disabled. A moved Karen then decided to apply those lessons to her life as well.

Tuesday, October 28, 1997 (Episode #107)
Julie realized the true extent of the danger she was in when she learned about Cooper's past killings. More desperate than ever
to get away from Cooper, Julie managed to hide a hammer that she hoped she could use to free herself from her handcuffs.
Justus Ward agreed to act as Scott's lawyer at his bail hearing and Mac told Scott that he would investigate the evidence
against him.  Karen learned about the charges against Scott and urged him to remain calm for Serena's sake. Later, Scott was
formally arraigned on the kidnapping charges and it was unclear whether or not Scott would be granted bail. Matt stated his
case to the hospital board and eloquently explained how someone like him could practice surgery. Matt, however, faced some
stiff questions from some of the board members. By days end, the board was still undecided about Matt's career as a
surgeon.

Wednesday, October 29, 1997 (Episode #108)
Scott was granted bail, but was denied access to Serena. Scott asked Justus to petition the court for custody of Serena, but
Justus said that it would be futile with the kidnapping charges still pending. Mac pointed out the evidence against Scott,
including gambling receipts and a paper trail of the ransom money. Scott said that the evidence was all manufactured, but
agreed that it looked convincing. Lucy arrived and showed Scott the unflattering newspaper article about him and his past.
Scott was upset that he had already been convicted in the press and worried that he would never get Serena back. Scott and
Lucy then shared a close moment and both knew that they could count on each other. Frank became worried when Julie
stayed out all night because Frank knew that Julie hadn't been at the hospital. Meanwhile, Julie was able to use the hammer to
free herself from her handcuffs. Julie then broke the window in order to crawl out but Cooper returned before she had the
chance. Julie hid in the basement as Cooper became enraged when he thought that Julie had escaped. Cooper left the basement and Julie remained in her hiding place. Later, Julie gathered her courage and opened the door leading from the basement, but
then came face to face with Cooper, who told Julie that she would punished. Matt spoke with Mike and Ellen as he waited for
the hospital board to reach a decision. Later, at the hospital, Alan told a relieved Matt that the board had decided to allow him
to train as a surgeon.

Thursday, October 30, 1997 (Episode #109)
Scott attempted to regain custody of Serena, but the judge withheld making a decision until the kidnapping matter was resolved in court. Scott was then granted limited supervised visits with Serena. Karen, Eve and Joe put aside their differences and
returned to the firehouse with Scott in order to try and cheer him up. Meanwhile, Gail called Lucy to help her comfort an upset
Serena. Lucy promised Serena that Scott would visit her the next day and said that Scott was always thinking about her. Frank
reported Julie's disappearance to the police. Frank also asked the hospital guard if he had seen Julie leave, but the guard didn't
remember seeing Julie. Bennett arrived at the hospital with his wife, Nicole, and both were alarmed by Julie's disappearance.
Nicole, however, had brought along some family photos of Julie to give to the police. Cooper snapped pictures of Julie and told her that he was going to demonstrate his skills as a plastic surgeon on her.

Friday, October 31, 1997 (Episode #110 ~ Halloween)
At Serena's Halloween party, Karen told Joe that her lawyer was drawing up divorce papers for her and Jagger. Karen and
Joe shared a close moment and Karen thanked him for being her friend. Scott was served with court papers saying that Rex
and Danielle were suing for custody of Serena. Scott, however, was forced to cover this devastating information from Serena
during their first court-supervised visit together. Later, Serena overheard Scott telling Lucy about Rex and Danielle suing for
custody. An upset Serena then slipped away unseen. Detective Garcia questioned Bennett, Nicole and the interns for any
information about Julie's disappearance. Meanwhile, Cooper pasted pictures of Julie on the basement walls and marked her
face with a grease pencil in preparation for the surgery he planned to perform on her. Matt realized that his victory was real
when he saw his name added to the surgical rotation. Ellen then gave Matt a gift to commemorate his recent victory with the
hospital board.
